Dividend Increases: Stocks Building Wealth With Dividend Increases

Have you ever wondered just where are all the get-rich-now infomercial millionaires? I know several people who have purchased one or more of these get-rich-now kits, but I don't know of anyone who actually got rich from purchasing the kit. Warren Buffett and Bill Gates didn't build their fortunes with a get-rich-now kit. They worked hard built it steadily over time.

In much the same way, a disciplined approach to investing, such as dividend growth stocks, can be highly effective. Though it may seem boring to many, I find it exciting to see my income growing as the finish line approaches.

Below are several companies building their shareholders' wealth with increased cash dividends:


Estee Lauder (EL) recently increased its quarterly dividend 10.4% to $0.53 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 15 to shareholders of record Nov. 30, with an ex-div date of Nov. 27. The yield based on the new payout is 0.97%.

Arbor Realty Trust (ABR) recently increased its quarterly dividend 3.2% to $0.32 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 30; for shareholders of record Nov. 16; ex-div Nov. 13. The yield based on the new payout is 11.0%.

Entergy (ETR) recently increased its quarterly dividend 2.2% to $0.95 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 1 to shareholders of record Nov. 12, with an ex-div date of Nov. 10. The yield based on the new payout is 3.8%.

CDW (CDW) recently increased its quarterly dividend 5.3% to $0.40 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 10; for shareholders of record Nov. 25; ex-div Nov. 24. The yield based on the new payout is 1.3%.

Rockwell Automation (ROK) recently increased its quarterly dividend 4.9% to $1.07 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 10 to shareholders of record Nov. 16, with an ex-div date of Nov. 13. The yield based on the new payout is 1.8%.

Emerson Electric (EMR) recently increased its quarterly dividend 1% to $0.505 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 10; for shareholders of record Nov. 13; ex-div Nov. 12. The yield based on the new payout is 2.9%.

AmerisourceBergen (ABC) recently increased its quarterly dividend 4.8% to $0.44 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 30 to shareholders of record Nov. 16, with an ex-div date of Nov. 13. The yield based on the new payout is 1.7%.

Wendy's (WEN) recently increased its quarterly dividend 40% to $0.07 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 15 to shareholders of record Dec. 1, with an ex-div date of Nov. 30. The yield based on the new payout is 1.2%.

Mercury General (MCY) recently increased its quarterly dividend 0.4% to $0.6325 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 30 to shareholders of record Dec. 16, with an ex-div date of Dec. 15. The yield based on the new payout is 6.1%.

Microchip Technology (MCHP) recently increased its quarterly dividend 0.1% to $0.3685 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 4 to shareholders of record Nov. 20, with an ex-div date of Nov. 19. The yield based on the new payout is 1.25%.

Snap-On (SNA) recently increased its quarterly dividend 14% to $1.23 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 10 to shareholders of record Nov. 20, with an ex-div date of Nov. 19. The yield based on the new payout is 3.04%.
