11 Stocks Taking Their Dividends Up A Notch

Throughout history there have always been great companies that stand head-and-shoulders above their peers and the competition. They are loved by their shareholders, hated by the competition and known by all. Just as all great companies have something in common, great dividend companies also have something in common. All great dividend companies have at least one characteristic in common – they consistently raise their dividends each year.

Below are several companies stepping up with higher cash dividends:


The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (GT) develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes tires, and related products and services. September 23rd the company increased its quarterly dividend 43% to $0.10 per share. The dividend is payable December 1, 2016 to stockholders of record on November 1, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of October 28, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 1.2%.

Masco Corporation (MAS) designs, manufactures, markets, and distributes home improvement and building products in North America and internationally. September 23rd the company increased its quarterly dividend 5.3% to $0.10 per share. The dividend is payable November 14, 2016 to stockholders of record on October 14, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of October 12, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 1.2%.

Ingredion Incorporated (INGR) manufactures and sells starches and sweeteners to various industries. September 23rd the company increased its quarterly dividend 11% to $0.50 per share. The dividend is payable October 25, 2016 to stockholders of record on October 3, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of September 29, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 1.5%.

Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMT), a security and aerospace company, engages in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of technology systems, products, and services worldwide. September 22th the company increased its quarterly dividend 10% to $1.82 per share. The dividend is payable December 30, 2016 to stockholders of record on December 1, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of November 29, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 3.0%.

W. P. Carey Inc. (WPC) is an independent equity real estate investment trust. The firm also provides long-term sale-leaseback and build-to-suit financing for companies. September 22th the company increased its quarterly dividend 0.5% to $0.985 per share. The dividend is payable October 14, 2016 to stockholders of record on October 3, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of September 29, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 5.9%.

InterDigital, Inc. (IDCC) designs and develops technologies that enable and enhance wireless communications in the United States and internationally. The dividend is payable October 26, 2016 to stockholders of record on October 12, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of October10, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 1.5%.

Sanderson Farms, Inc. (SAFM), an integrated poultry processing company, produces, processes, markets, and distributes fresh, frozen, and prepared chicken products in the United States. September 22th the company increased its quarterly dividend 9.1% to $0.24 per share. The dividend is payable October 18, 2016 to stockholders of record on October 4, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of September 30, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 1.0%.

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT), a technology company, develops, licenses, and supports software products, services, and devices worldwide. September 21st the company increased its quarterly dividend 8.3% to $0.39 per share. The dividend is payable December 8, 2016 to stockholders of record on November 17, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of November 15, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 2.8%.

Federal Realty Investment Trust (FRT) operates as a real estate investment trust, which engages in the ownership, management, development, and redevelopment of retail and mixed-use properties. 8point3 Energy Partners LP (CAFD) acquires, owns, operates, and solar energy generation projects. September 20th the company increased its quarterly dividend 3.5% to $0.2406 per share. The dividend is payable October 14, 2016 to stockholders of record on October 3, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of September 29, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 6.2%.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCL) operates as a cruise company under the Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Pullmantur, Azamara Club Cruises, CDF Croisières de France, and TUI Cruises brand names. September 19th the company increased its quarterly dividend 28% to $0.48 per share. The dividend is payable October 13, 2016 to stockholders of record on September 29, 2016, with an ex-dividend date of September 27, 2016. The yield based on the new payout is 2.9%.
