May 2012 Pocket Change Portfolio Performance

The Pocket Change Portfolio (PCP) was first introduced on September 13, 2008 as a real money dividend income portfolio funded by the "pocket change" earned from my various online endeavors. Each month I report on the portfolio's progress and update its holdings.

Dividends Received

Total dividends received during the month were $430.53, consisting of:

- $83.64 Abbott Laboratories (ABT)
- $39.68 Colgate-Palmolive Co. (CL)
- $13.26 General Dynamics Corp. (GD)
- $46.97 National Retail Properties, Inc. (NNN)
- $68.62 Nucor Corporation (NUE)
- $79.80 Procter & Gamble Co. (PG)
- $98.56 AT&T, Inc. (T)

Annualized Dividend Income

Including new purchases and dividend increases, my annual PCP dividend income is now $7,704.60 at the current dividend rates. This is up $335.82 from last month's $7,368.78 amount. The PCP has never experienced a monthly decline in annualized dividend income.

Portfolio Returns

- Year-to-date: 3.24%
- Life-to-date: 14.50% (annualized)

Full Disclosure: Long all the aforementioned securities. See a list of all my dividend growth income holdings here.

  1. Great job with your dividend portfolio. I like ABT & PG, I have both in my dividend portfolio as well.
