Dividend Increases: Stocks Building Wealth With Dividend Increases

Have you ever wondered just where are all the get-rich-now infomercial millionaires? I know several people who have purchased one or more of these get-rich-now kits, but I don't know of anyone who actually got rich from purchasing the kit. Warren Buffett and Bill Gates didn't build their fortunes with a get-rich-now kit. They worked hard built it steadily over time.

In much the same way, a disciplined approach to investing, such as dividend growth stocks, can be highly effective. Though it may seem boring to many, I find it exciting to see my income growing as the finish line approaches.

Below are several companies building their shareholders' wealth with increased cash dividends:


AllianceBernstein (AB) recently increased its quarterly dividend 13% to $0.69 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 12 to shareholders of record Nov. 2, with an ex-div date of Oct. 30. The yield based on the new payout is 8.5%.

Altra Industrial Motion (AIMC) recently increased its quarterly dividend 50% to $0.06 per share. The dividend is payable Jan. 5 to shareholders of record Dec. 18 with an ex-div date of Dec. 17. The yield based on the new payout is 0.6%.

Getty Realty (GTY) recently increased its quarterly dividend 5.4% to $0.39 per share. The dividend is payable Jan. 7 to shareholders of record Dec. 24, with an ex-div date of Dec. 23. The yield based on the new payout is 6.1%.

Home BancShares (HOMB) recently increased its quarterly dividend 7.7% to $0.14 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 2 to shareholders of record Nov. 11, with an ex-div date of Nov. 9. The yield based on the new payout is 3.4%.

Middlesex Water (MSEX) recently increased its quarterly dividend 6.3% to $0.2725 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 1 to shareholders of record Nov. 13 with an ex-div date of Nov. 12. The yield based on the new payout is 1.6%.

Unilever (UL) recently increased its quarterly dividend 3.2% to $0.4845 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 20 to shareholders of record Oct. 30, with an ex-div date of Oct. 29. The yield based on the new payout is 3.2%.

Gorman-Rupp (GRC) recently increased its quarterly dividend 6.9% to $0.155 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 10 to shareholders of record Nov. 13, with an ex-div date of Nov. 12. The yield based on the new payout is 1.9%.

Hubbell (HUBB) recently increased its quarterly dividend 7.7% to $0.98 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 15 to shareholders of record Nov. 30, with an ex-div date of Nov. 27. The yield based on the new payout is 2.6%.

Tompkins Financial (TMP) recently increased its quarterly dividend 3.8% to $0.54 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 13; for shareholders of record Nov. 3; ex-div Nov. 2. The yield based on the new payout is 3.7%.

Triton International (TRTN) recently increased its quarterly dividend 9.6% to $0.57 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 23; for shareholders of record Dec. 10; ex-div Dec. 9. The yield based on the new payout is 6.2%.

Shenandoah (SHEN) recently increased its quarterly dividend 17% to $0.34 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 1 to shareholders of record Nov. 12, with an ex-div date of Nov. 10. The yield based on the new payout is 0.8%.

UMB Financial (UMBF) recently increased its quarterly dividend 3.2% to $0.32 per share. The dividend is payable Jan. 4 to shareholders of record Dec. 10, with an ex-div date of Dec. 9. The yield based on the new payout is 2.3%.

Independent Bank (IBTX) recently increased its quarterly dividend 20% to $0.30 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 19 to shareholders of record Nov. 6, with an ex-div Nov. 5. The yield based on the new payout is 2.3%.

Tennant (TNC) recently increased its quarterly dividend 4.5% to $0.23 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 15 to shareholders of record Nov. 30, with an ex-div date of Nov. 27. The yield based on the new payout is 1.5%.

Oshkosh (OSK) recently increased its quarterly dividend 10% to $0.33 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 30 to shareholders of record Nov. 16, with an ex-div date of Nov. 13. The yield based on the new payout is 1.9%.

Duke Realty (DRE) recently increased its quarterly dividend 8.5% to $0.255 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 30 to shareholders of record Nov. 16, with an ex-div date of Nov. 13. The yield based on the new payout is 2.7%.

Fresh Del Monte Produce (FDP) recently increased its quarterly dividend 100% to $0.10 per share. The dividend is payable Dec. 4 to shareholders of record Nov. 11, with an ex-div date of Nov. 9. The yield based on the new payout is 1.7%.

West Pharmaceutical (WST) recently increased its quarterly dividend 6.3% to $0.17 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 18; for shareholders of record Nov. 11; ex-div Nov. 9. The yield based on the new payout is 0.24%.

AbbVie (ABBV) recently increased its quarterly dividend 10% to $1.30 per share. The dividend is payable Feb. 16; for shareholders of record Jan. 15; ex-div Jan. 14. The yield based on the new payout is 6.45%.
