4 Stocks Building Deferred Gratification With Increased Dividends

Deferred gratification is a principle where one or more people choose to postpone near-term benefits in order to enhance their chances of greater benefits in the future. In our microwave society marked by the ‘I want it now’ attitude, it is unusual to find someone willing to wait. Verizon (VZ) recently increased its quarterly dividend 2% to $0.6275 per share. The dividend is payable Nov. 2, 2020 to stockholders of record on Oct. 9, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of Oct. 8, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 4.1%.

RCI Hospitality (RICK) recently increased its quarterly dividend 33% to $0.04 per share. The dividend is payable Sep. 28, 2020 to stockholders of record on Sep. 15, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of Sep. 14, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 0.8%.

Eastgroup Properties (EGP) recently increased its quarterly dividend 5.3% to $0.79 per share. The dividend is payable Oct. 15, 2020 to stockholders of record on Sep. 30, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of Sep. 29, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 2.3%.

Mannatech (MTEX) recently increased its quarterly dividend 28% to $0.16 per share. The dividend is payable Sep. 29, 2020 to stockholders of record on Sep. 15, 2020, with an ex-dividend date of Sep. 14, 2020. The yield based on the new payout is 3.7%.

Northrim BanCorp (NRIM) declares $0.35/share quarterly dividend, 2.9% increase from prior dividend of $0.34. Forward yield 5.28% Payable Sept. 18; for shareholders of record Sept. 10; ex-div Sept. 9.
