13 Stocks Increasing Dividends Like A Champion

There are winners and there are champions in every walk of life. The difference is subtle, but very real. A champions are driven for success and will not let anything stand in their way. Some dividend stocks can be classified as champions. A bad economy, tight credit markets and a dark cloud of uncertainty are enough send some dividend companies running for the exit. However, these are the times that champions stand firm.

This week a few companies answered the call and rewarded their shareholders with higher cash dividends:

Consolidated Edison, Inc. (ED) engages in regulated electric, gas, and steam delivery businesses. January 16th the company increased its quarterly dividend 2.4% to $0.63 per share. The dividend is payable March 15, 2014, to stockholders of record on February 12, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 4.7%.

Cousins Properties Incorporated (CUZ), a real estate investment trust (REIT), owns, develops, and manages real estate portfolio, as well as performs certain real estate-related services. January 16th the company increased its quarterly dividend 66.7% to $0.075 per share. The dividend is payable February 24, 2014, to stockholders of record on February 10, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.8%.

Wisconsin Energy Corporation (WEC) generates and distributes electric energy, as well as distributes natural gas. The company operates in two segments, Utility Energy and Non-Utility Energy. January 16th the company increased its quarterly dividend 2% to $0.3900 per share. The dividend is payable March 1, 2014, to stockholders of record on February 14, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 3.8%.

BlackRock, Inc. (BLK) is a publicly owned investment manager. The firm primarily provides its services to institutional, intermediary, and individual investors. January 16th the company increased its quarterly dividend 14.9% to $1.93 per share. The dividend is payable March 24, 2014, to stockholders of record on March 7, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.4%.

ONEOK, Inc. (OKE) operates as a diversified energy company in the United States. January 15th the company increased its quarterly dividend 5.3% to $0.40 per share. The dividend is payable February 18, 2014, to stockholders of record on February 10, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.5%.

Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. (OHI) is a real estate investment firm. The firm invests in the real estate markets of United States. January 15th the company increased its quarterly dividend 2.1% to $0.49 per share. The dividend is payable February 17, 2014, to stockholders of record on January 31, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 6.3%.

Alexander’s, Inc. (ALX), a real estate investment trust (REIT), engages in leasing, managing, developing, and redeveloping properties in the greater New York City metropolitan area. January 15th the company increased its quarterly dividend 18.2% to $3.25 per share. The dividend is payable February 18, 2014, to stockholders of record on January 27, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 3.9%.

Targa Resources Corp. (TRGP), through its general and limited partner interests in Targa Resources Partners LP, provides midstream natural gas and natural gas liquid (NGL). January 14th the company increased its quarterly dividend 6.6% to $0.6075 per share. The dividend is payable February 18, 2014, to stockholders of record on January 27, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.8%.

Linear Technology Corporation (LLTC) designs, manufactures, and markets a line of analog integrated circuits (ICs) worldwide. January 14th the company increased its quarterly dividend 3.8% to $0.27 per share. The dividend is payable February 26, 2014, to stockholders of record on February 14, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.4%.

Kaiser Aluminum Corporation (KALU) engages in the production and sale of semi-fabricated specialty aluminum products. January 14th the company increased its quarterly dividend 16.7% to $0.35 per share. The dividend is payable February 14, 2014, to stockholders of record on January 24, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.1%.

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (EPD) provides midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. January 13th the company increased its quarterly dividend 6.1% to $0.70 per share. The dividend is payable on February 7, 2014, to stockholders of record on January 31, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 4.4%.

ACE Limited (ACE) provides a range of insurance and reinsurance products to insured’s worldwide. January 10th the company increased its quarterly dividend 23.5% to $0.63 per share. The dividend is payable on January 31, 2014, to stockholders of record on January 13, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 2.6%.

Genesis Energy, L.P. (GEL) operates in the midstream segment of the oil and gas industry in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. January 10th the company increased its quarterly dividend 2.4% to $0.535 per share. The dividend is payable on February 14, 2014 to stockholders of record on January 31, 2014. The yield based on the new payout is 4.0%.
